Hi, my name is Rokas. I'm a front-end engineer with nearly 4 years of hands-on experience building modern, high-performance web applications. I'm self-taught. I've been programming since high school, spent two years at "Jaunųjų informatikų akademija", and turned that curiosity into a career of shipping production software. That background shaped how I work: I learn fast, take ownership, and don't wait for someone to hand me a spec.

At my current role I'm regularly trusted to lead our largest initiatives as the go-to engineer for architectural decisions, technical planning, and implementation strategy on complex features. I led the end-to-end redesign of a major gaming-industry website, building a scalable, theme-driven design system along the way. As the sole front-end engineer on an R&D initiative, I independently delivered a complete prototype of a real-time component library with WebSocket integration and an embeddable script. In between, I refactor legacy code toward modern React patterns, improving performance, SEO, and long-term maintainability.

Outside of work I keep building. Right now I'm working on Sinwy, a SaaS platform where businesses build their public pages with a CMS page builder and customers discover and browse them. It's a full stack TypeScript app: a backend server that handles the business logic (organizations, users, payments and subscriptions, calendars and bookings, the CMS), and a React frontend built with module federation, split into a business owner dashboard with the page builder and a customer-facing platform for finding services. Once the core platform ships, the next step on my roadmap is a custom AI agent inside the app to help owners build their pages and make sense of their bookings, revenue, and analytics. I gravitate toward the React and TypeScript ecosystem, but I treat languages and frameworks as tools. What I care about is engineering: understanding the problem, choosing the right approach, and shipping something that lasts.
